I just started the Beachbody 21 day Fix. Why is it relevant to this website? Well, when I received my package a few days ago, I opened the box and felt overwhelmed! It wasn't a big box. It contained 24 Shakeology packets, 7 small colorful plastic containers and several little booklets.
I didn't know where to begin. I saw those tiny containers and thought, "Ok, now I see why this program is so successful! IF you are willing to starve yourself for 21 days and exercise for 30 minutes everyday, you will most definitely lose weight!"
I had to ask myself, are you willing to do those things for a better, stronger body?
I took a deep breath and slowly looked through the reading paraphernalia. I started with the logical choice, the pamphlet that was titled "Start Here"!
I read the section titled, "Now that you're ready to go, what do you need to do?"
Number 5 said, "Find your reason why"
With my blank chalkboard staring me in the face, I quickly grabbed a piece of chalk and jotted down my reasons.
My beautiful large framed chalkboard hangs above my computer desk. I use it to jot down appointments, phone numbers and important things, like family birthday reminders.
Now I have my 3 reasons staring me in the face every time I sit at my computer and every time I do a 30 minute workout (since I play the workouts on my computer ).
As I continued to educate myself with the reading material and searching the internet, for how others organize themselves with the plan, I realized the success of this plan was in planning and organization. You must take the first day (I recommend on the weekend, a day that you have some time) to educate, plan and organize yourself. It won't happen through osmosis.
I looked at those pretty little containers again, calculated my intake, labeled my containers and looked at the list of food for each category.
I printed out all 21 days and plan to keep it with me to keep track. To save paper, I'm thinking of creating a chalkboard to record the days intake and activity. However, having the printed sheets my be more convenient.
Next, I will be creating a shopping list for the 6 food categories, with only the foods that I like.
Today is a shopping day.
